For journeys other than to and from school, half fare is payable.
NSW Tertiary Student
RailCorp Passes and Concessions and/or Tertiary Institution
Expires 31 March year. A valid NSW Tertiary Student Concession card with a concession foil sticker; or A valid student ID card, issued by their tertiary institution with a NSW concession printed image or foil
NSW Senior Secondary Card
RailCorp Passes and Concessions
Card must have a NSW Concession printed image or foil. A school student identification card issued by a school, or a Home School certificate issued by the Board of Studies, cannot be used in lieu of a transport concession card.
NSW Mature Age Secondary Card
RailCorp Passes and Concessions
NSW Tertiary Student Concession Card is issued for Mature Aged Students. Card must have a NSW Concession printed image or foil. A school student identification card issued by a school, cannot be used in lieu of a transport concession card.
Indentured Apprentice/Trainee NSW Transport Concession Card
Department of Education and Training
The card is valid for the life of the traineeship and to a maximum of 3 years for apprentices. Half Fare Concession for Single Tickets


Half Fare (Ages 4 - 15 inclusive)
** No proof of entitlement required however following passes may be used to verify age**
NSW Proof of Age Card - Transport
(card for Jobseekers)
RailCorp Passes and Concessions
Card will show the expiry date of entitlement. This card cannot be used for non-transport purposes.
Student Bus Pass
Any accredited bus operator
For journeys other than to and from school, half fare is payable.
